Sarah's Trust, the charity founded by Sarah Ferguson, has formally closed and been marked as 'removed' on the public register following intense scrutiny of her ties to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The organisation announced in February 2026 it would shut down for the foreseeable future, just days after the US Department of Justice released more than three million documents that appeared to show Ferguson remained in contact with Epstein while he was imprisoned for soliciting sex from a minor. One email exchange suggested she brought her daughters to visit Epstein days after his release from prison in 2009. The charity was formally wound up in June 2026.
The fallout has extended beyond the trust. Ferguson lost her duchess title in October 2025 when her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor relinquished his Duke of York title, and several other charities cut ties with her, including Teenage Cancer Trust and Julia's House.
