A Norwegian Air Shuttle flight bound for Dubrovnik made an unscheduled landing in Vienna on Monday morning after a crack appeared in its windshield, the airline confirmed.

The Boeing 737-800 departed Oslo Gardermoen at 06:45 and was airborne for roughly two hours when the damage was discovered, prompting the diversion to Austria. Norwegian said it was dispatching a technician and fresh crew to Vienna to replace the windshield. Passengers were expected to continue to Croatia on a replacement aircraft, with the original plane resuming its journey once repairs were completed.

The cause of the crack was not immediately known, Norwegian said.
