Norwegian Air Shuttle replaced its Instagram profile picture with the British Airways crest on Saturday after honoring a social media wager tied to the 2026 World Cup quarterfinal between England and Norway.
Before kickoff in Miami, Norwegian challenged the UK flag carrier to swap logos for 24 hours depending on which side prevailed. England won 2-1, and Norwegian made good on the bet, posting a design emblazoned with the rival airline's branding alongside the messages "It's coming home" and "Well played, England & British Airways." British Airways thanked the competitor and celebrated England's advance to the semifinals, calling the exchange a gesture between "friends forever."
The lighthearted rivalry drew in other carriers: Swiss International Air Lines looked ahead to its own squad's match against Argentina, while ITA Airways lamented Italy's absence from the tournament.
