Nintendo has confirmed it will end online service for Mario Kart Tour, its second highest-grossing mobile title behind Fire Emblem Heroes, with global servers going offline on 29 September 2026. The company has no plans to release an offline version of the racing game.
With immediate effect, Nintendo has disabled all microtransactions, ruby purchases, and Gold Pass subscription renewals. As a goodwill measure, all players will gain free access to Gold Pass benefits starting 4 August, roughly two months before the shutdown.
The game originally launched on iOS and Android on 25 September 2019, running for nearly seven years as a live-service title built around rotating city-themed tours and gacha-style character unlocks.
