Gary Neville has doubled down on his criticism of Argentina's centre-back pairing after Cristian Romero called the pundit "stupid" for questioning his partnership with Lisandro Martinez.
The row erupted after Neville described the 28-year-olds on his podcast as "the best, worst centre-half pairing in the world." Romero and Martinez have started all but one of Argentina's matches at the tournament, conceding six goals in the knockout phase against Egypt, Cape Verde, Switzerland and England.
Argentina advanced after Enzo Fernandez and Lautaro Martinez scored late goals to overturn Anthony Gordon's opener and beat England 2-1 in Wednesday's semi-final in Atlanta. Argentina will face Spain in the final on Saturday.
