More than 140,000 people filled the streets of central Barcelona on Saturday for the city's 2026 Pride march, organisers said, in what was billed as the first Pride demonstration held in Barcelona since the late 1970s.
The procession set off at 6 p.m. from Plaça Universitat under this year's slogan, "All realities, one pride," and wound its way to the Arc de Triomf. Barcelona Mayor Jaume Collboni, Culture Minister Ernest Urtasun, and regional cabinet members Albert Dalmau and Eva Menor joined the march. Collboni warned that equal rights are currently under threat.
The rally capped a weekend of events that included a Friday concert by Brazilian star Daniela Mercury and Saturday performances by Beth, Gala, Kate Ryan, Roser, and Leire Martínez.
