Mitch Winehouse has been ordered to pay nearly £964,000 to two former close friends of his late daughter Amy Winehouse, concluding a bitter legal dispute over the auction of the singer's personal belongings. The ruling, handed down Wednesday, requires Winehouse to cover damages and legal costs owed to Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay, a sum equivalent to roughly $1.2 million.
The order follows a failed lawsuit Winehouse filed in December 2025 challenging the sale of 155 items belonging to Amy Winehouse, which the two women auctioned between 2021 and 2023 for approximately $1.4 million. Among the lots was a silk dress worn during the singer's final performance in Belgrade, which sold for $243,200.
Judge Sarah Clarke KC dismissed Winehouse's claims in April 2026, finding that he had known about the planned sales all along and had harmed the reputation, career prospects, and financial security of both women.
