Mick Jagger, 82, has revealed that even rock's most enduring frontman is not immune to modern dating indignities: the singer says he was ghosted by a woman, a silence he has now turned into song.
Jagger discussed the experience in an interview on the Zane Lowe video podcast, explaining that the new ballad "Back in Your Life" addresses the woman who cut off contact. The track appears on the Rolling Stones' new album "Foreign Tongues."
Jagger co-wrote the song with bandmate Keith Richards and producer Andrew Watt, drawing on the increasingly common dating phenomenon in which one party abruptly ends all communication without explanation. The Stones have yet to announce tour dates in support of the new record.
