MFE-MediaForEurope has sharply raised the synergy benefits it expects from its takeover of ProSiebenSat.1, projecting €160 million in savings this year against an earlier estimate of just €30 million, Pier Silvio Berlusconi said during a press conference. The broadcaster, in which MFE holds a stake above 75 percent, helped lift group revenue to €6.5 billion last year from €2.6 billion in 2020.
The upgrade significantly exceeds the company's original guidance and underscores the accelerating integration of the German commercial network.
On advertising, MFE expects a broadly flat year with a recovery in the second half of 2026, even as the Italian market dipped 1.8 percent in April. Berlusconi acknowledged that the group trailed the broader market slightly in the first six months and called the collapsed EI Towers–Rai Way merger a major missed opportunity for Italy.
