Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the CLA 45 4Matic+, a fully electric performance sedan that signals a new direction for the brand's high-output lineup. The car was presented by racing driver Kimi Antonelli at the Festival of Speed in Goodwood.
The powertrain relies on three axial-flux electric motors producing a combined 500 kW (680 hp) and 1,759 Nm of torque, paired with a fully variable all-wheel-drive system. The sedan sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 270 km/h with the AMG Dynamic Plus package. A 94 kWh battery delivers up to 670 km of WLTP range, while DC fast-charging at 330 kW replenishes the battery from 10 to 80 percent in 22 minutes.
The standard CLA previously won the Car of the Year 2026 title and topped the Euro NCAP safety tests in 2025.
