DJ Kygo has released a remix of a ten-year-old rap song recorded by Erling Braut Haaland, fulfilling a pledge made ahead of Norway's World Cup round-of-16 match against Brazil. The track, "Kygo Jo (feat. Lyng)," was published on Spotify on Tuesday evening, after Kygo promised to issue a new version if Haaland scored against the South American side.

Haaland delivered two late goals on 5 July 2026, securing a 2-1 victory that sent Norway into the quarter-finals and prompting Kygo to produce the remix. The original song, recorded by Haaland around 2016, has since gone viral on social media.

The striker had publicly committed to scoring against Brazil before the match, and Norway's advancement marked a milestone run at the tournament.
