German singer Helene Fischer has defended the pricing of her current stadium tour, attributing high ticket costs to soaring production expenses and the large workforce required to stage her shows.
Speaking on the ARD Tagesthemen news programme on Friday, the 41-year-old said that hundreds of staff members work behind the scenes on the production, including creative teams, stage designers, costume departments and catering crews. She expressed understanding for public debate over expensive tickets but pointed to broader inflation as a driving factor.
The interview coincided with the final date of her 15-show tour, which concluded at Munich's Allianz Arena on Friday and drew a total of around 750,000 attendees. Fischer also announced that performances from the tour were recorded for a concert film.
