The Gaelic Athletic Association has reaffirmed its sponsorship agreement with Allianz, with both its management committee and central council overwhelmingly backing the continuation of the commercial partnership following meetings held over the weekend.
The issue was revisited after Tyrone GAA raised formal concerns about the deal, which covers the National Leagues and All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. Allianz's German parent company was named in a July 2025 United Nations report identifying firms holding Israeli government bonds, prompting protests at championship fixtures and a disruption of the GAA's annual congress in February. The association first opted to retain the deal last December, citing potential legal and financial risks of termination.
Separately, the central council approved the use of SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh for Ireland's Women's World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan on 13 October and Munster's Champions Cup match against Racing 92 four days later.
