Frankfurt Airport operator Fraport has slashed its full-year passenger forecast to 63.2 million, down from as much as 66 million, as strikes and geopolitical turmoil weigh on Europe's fourth-busiest travel hub.
The airport counted roughly 28.9 million passengers in the first half of 2026, a 0.8 percent decline from the same period last year. June traffic alone fell 1.7 percent year-on-year to approximately 5.7 million travelers.
Fraport attributed the downturn to a convergence of headwinds, including strikes at Lufthansa, the war in Iran, and uncertainty surrounding jet fuel supplies. The revised outlook now projects full-year traffic to match 2025 levels, signaling no growth for Germany's busiest airport.
