France defeated Morocco 2-0 in a World Cup quarter-final on Wednesday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, securing a place in the last four of the 2026 tournament. The victory marks France's third consecutive World Cup semi-final appearance.

After a goalless first half, Kylian Mbappé broke the deadlock in the 60th minute, registering his eighth goal of the tournament to tie Lionel Messi atop the scoring charts. Ousmane Dembélé doubled the lead six minutes later, putting the result beyond reach for the Moroccan side.

France will face either Spain or Belgium in the semi-final on 14 July. Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouahbi said his team's focus now shifts to the 2030 World Cup, which Morocco will co-host.
