Former Danish handball star Mikkel Hansen will appear as himself in "Over stregen" ("Over the Line"), an upcoming Danish drama film centered on bullying among youth.
The film, directed by Vibeke Muasya, follows a 13-year-old boy who faces bullying on the handball court, in the classroom, and on social media. The screenplay, written by Muasya in collaboration with Ahrnt Clausen, is based on Clausen's book. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on November 5.
The role aligns with Hansen's longstanding off-court advocacy. In 2015, he founded the organisation MH24 — Foreningen Mikkel mod Mobning (Mikkel Against Bullying), which was renamed Hej Fonden in 2022. The foundation continues to campaign against bullying among children and young people in Denmark.
