King Frederik X and Queen Mary of Denmark will travel to Belgium for a three-day state visit from 8 to 10 September, at the invitation of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, the Belgian royal palace said. The visit is intended to mark the shared values between Belgium and Denmark and strengthen bilateral cooperation as well as ties within the EU and NATO.
The Danish couple will be received at the Place des Palais in Brussels on 8 September for an official welcome ceremony. Their programme includes meetings with Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever, the federal parliament, and Brussels Mayor Philippe Close, followed by a gala dinner at the Royal Palace of Laeken that evening.
The trip follows a Belgian state visit to Denmark in 2017, continuing a pattern of reciprocal royal exchanges between the two nations.
