Haris Tabakovic has left TSG Hoffenheim to join RB Salzburg on a three-year contract running through 2029, returning to the Austrian Bundesliga where he previously played for Austria Lustenau and Austria Wien.

Hoffenheim sporting director Paul Pajduch said the club accepted the move because of an economically attractive overall package. The 32-year-old Bosnian striker spent last season on loan at Borussia Mönchengladbach after arriving in Sinsheim in 2024 as the second division's top scorer from Hertha BSC.

Tabakovic made a brief appearance for Bosnia and Herzegovina at the World Cup, coming on in a round-of-32 defeat to the United States.
