The Barcelona International Motor Show will move from its longtime Montjuïc home to the Gran Via exhibition centre in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat for its 44th edition in April 2027, organizers said Thursday.
The relocation is driven by renovation work at the Montjuïc fairgrounds tied to centenary commemorations of the 1929 International Exposition. The show will run from 10 to 18 April 2027, with two press and trade days on 8 and 9 April preceding the public opening.
Automobile Barcelona, held every two years, is the only Spanish motor show recognised by the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers. The previous edition took place in May 2025. Organizers said the 2027 event is designed to accelerate fleet electrification.
