Two separate arson attacks struck homes in Northern Ireland early Saturday, leaving one person hospitalised with smoke inhalation after an object was thrown through the window of an unoccupied flat in Limavady, County Londonderry, around 01:30 BST, sparking a deliberate fire.
Hours later, two petrol bombs were thrown at a house in Pinebank Gardens, Coalisland, County Tyrone, shortly after 03:30 BST. The occupant extinguished the blaze before emergency services arrived, and no injuries were reported at that scene.
The coordinated timing of the overnight attacks across two counties has drawn police attention, though no arrests have been announced. One person required hospital treatment following the Limavady fire, which spread through the flat complex despite the targeted unit being vacant at the time.
