Actress Amber Davies stopped a performance of Legally Blonde in Dublin to have an audience member removed for filming during the show, calling the behaviour "selfish" and saying it "ruined the morale" of the cast.
The incident occurred on July 11 at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, where Davies, 29, is starring as Elle Woods on the Legally Blonde UK and Ireland tour. During the first act, Davies requested the woman be escorted out and later posted a video on Instagram Stories during the interval criticising the filming. Video, flash photography, and audio recording are strictly forbidden during performances.
Davies, who won the third series of ITV's Love Island in 2017, previously took time off the production in March due to a chest infection. Production company Royo declined to comment further on the incident.
