Alphabet revealed it holds $94.1 billion in SpaceX stock, representing an approximate 6% stake in Elon Musk's aerospace company, according to a quarterly filing with U.S. securities regulators on Wednesday.

The bulk of the holding faces liquidity constraints: $80 billion is subject to short-term selling restrictions, while another $14.1 billion remains locked through the third quarter of 2027. SpaceX debuted on the Nasdaq under the ticker SPCX on June 12, pricing at $135 per share. The stock has since fallen to $112.13, giving SpaceX a market capitalization of roughly $1.52 trillion.

The disclosure came alongside strong quarterly results for Alphabet, with second-quarter net income surging 298% year over year to $112.1 billion and revenue rising 24% to $119.8 billion. The company raised its 2026 capital spending guidance to between $195 billion and $205 billion.
