Danish champions Aarhus Gymnastikforening have secured Rasmus Carstensen on a permanent transfer, buying the defender out of his contract with German club 1. FC Köln. Carstensen, who spent last season on loan at AGF, has signed a deal running through 2030.
The move reinforces AGF's squad as the club prepares to defend its Danish Superliga title and pursue qualification for the Champions League league phase. Carstensen becomes the club's third arrival this summer, joining midfielder Mikael Anderson and Jens Jønsson, who were both signed earlier in the window.
Carstensen, who has been owned by Köln since 2023, now makes his stint in Aarhus a long-term commitment as AGF builds for a demanding domestic and European campaign ahead.
